Welcome to the Ummah Centre The Ummah Centre (UC) is a registered charity based in Sheffield, dedicated to advancing the Islamic faith and serving the wider community. Founded on the principles of the Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), we strive to inspire faith, compassion, and positive citizenship. Formerly known as the Afghan Community Association, the Ummah Centre reflects a broader vision of inclusivity, community development, and social responsibility. We provide a welcoming environment for worship, learning, personal development, and community engagement, serving people of all ages and backgrounds. Through faith-based activities, educational programmes, community services, and partnerships with local organisations, we aim to strengthen individuals, support families, and contribute to a more cohesive and harmonious society. Above all, we seek to embody the Islamic values of respect, kindness, integrity, and service to humanity.
