Executive Summary
During 2023, the Ummah Center received donations from mosques, community centres, organisations, and supporters across the UK towards the purchase of a permanent building for the Ummah Center Masjid and Community Centre.
A total of £17,900 was raised through this fundraising effort. Assuming all donations are eligible for Gift Aid, an additional £4,475 can be reclaimed from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC), bringing the total value of the contributions to £22,375.

Purpose of the Donations
These funds were raised towards the acquisition and development of a permanent facility for the Ummah Center Masjid. The building will serve as a charitable community asset dedicated to:
- The advancement of Islam and Islamic education.
- Providing facilities for daily and congregational worship.
- Hosting religious gatherings and Islamic celebrations, including Eid events and community programmes.
- Delivering educational activities for children, young people and adults.
- Supporting social welfare, community cohesion and charitable activities.
- Providing a safe and welcoming environment for families and individuals.
- Promoting spiritual, educational and community development in accordance with the objectives of the Ummah Center.
Impact of Gift Aid
Gift Aid enables charities to reclaim an additional 25p for every £1 donated by eligible UK taxpayers.
